"The Secret of Kells" movie, at the Tivoli Theater in Westport for the Kansas City premiere of the movie and benefit for Operation Breakthrough. Sponsored by KS AOH and IMCC. Join us for this beautiful Oscar-nominated animated film that follows 12-year-old Brendan as he fights Vikings and a serpent to find a crystal and complete the legendary Irish Book of Kells.

The Book of Kells is a very real illuminated book of scriptures likely created by Irish monks about 800 A.D. It’s now housed at Trinity College in Dublin. Locally, there is a copy of the Book of Kells at Rockhurst University.

James Joyce's ULYSSES will be celebrated again on Wednesday, June 16th. This year it's going to be at the Irish Museum on the lower level of Union Station. Eddie Delahunt will be performing at 5:30 p.m. and the play starts at 7 p.m. Boulevard will provide the stout as they have for 15 years. Everything is free, but there will be a basket for small donations to feed the starving actors. Caution, it's not for children
